Carleigh Fedorka

Dr. Carleigh Fedorka holds a PhD from the Gluck Equine Research Center at the University of Kentucky. A Pennsylvania native, she moved to Kentucky after graduating from St. Lawrence University, and immersed herself in all aspects of the Thoroughbred industry, eventually becoming assistant manager at Hinkle Farms. Although a full-time scientist, she and her husband Luke Sullivan recently established Sewickley Stables where they focus on rehabbing, retraining, and selling off the track thoroughbreds. Notable OTTB success stories include RRP Thoroughbred Makeover Champion and MGSW winner Called to Serve, GSW and BC Juvenile candidate Theory, and her current eventer, Dynamaker. Her Reak Rider Cup mount is current sales horse Flatten, a young gelding bred by Nursery Place Farm and raced/retired to pursue his second career by SF Bloodstock and their partners Starlight Racing, Madaket Stables, Fred Hertrich & John Fielding, Golconda Stables and Stonestreet Stables.
