Joanie Morris begged and pleaded to ride and finally got a chance. She evented through the Intermediate level and through the Young Rider ranks. Joanie was a working student for: Ginny Leng, Mark Weissbecker and Suzi Gornall. In 1999, she wrote Phillip Dutton a letter because she wanted to go train for two weeks. Two weeks turned into the better part of eight years grooming, riding and learning from one of the best. She then spent 12 years working at the US Equestrian Federation, first as the High Performance Communications Director and then as the Managing Director of Eventing traveling around the world and to four Olympic Games. She now works for The Dutta Corporation in addition to overseeing the day to day operations on the farm.
