Count Your Pennies | Susan Runco

Count Your Pennies is by Aptitude, a son of A.P. Indy. She is out of the stakes-winning mare A Penny Saved and was bred by Coleswood Farm, Inc. (Jeff and Susan Runco). Jeff is a successful racehorse trainer with over 4300 wins. Penny won 6 races and earned over $98,000, and her half sister Navy Chapel was a multiple stakes winner of $257,765 and was champion state-bred two year old filly of 2011. Penny is a beautiful mover and a lovely physical type, and was placed with Anita Antenucci of Arden Sport Horses in Upperville, Virginia for her breeding program. Penny foaled a Songline colt in 2015 named Arden Countdown, now training with Olympic Bronze medalist Nina Fout. Her second foal is four year old Arden Casino by Valentino, now in training with international eventer Sharon White and aiming for the Young Event Horse competitions this year. Penny continues to produce lovely, uphill athletic foals from the Valentino cross that show impressive potential for eventing. Her 2017 Valentino foal won Best Jumper Foal at the AHS inspections.
