Better Talk Now and Gala Spinaway were both trained by Graham Motion and were the best of paddock buddies in their retirement. Gala Spinaway was a multiple graded stakes winner and Better Talk Now, a multiple Grade One stakes winner. Gala Spinaway had a short career as an event horse but mostly was ridden as a pleasure horse until his return to Fair Hill. They enjoyed visits from many fans over the years, and both “Grumpy Old Men” have a memorial garden planted by their old paddock.
