Dr. Emily Crow lives in Texas and is a Regulatory Racetrack Veterinarian. She has worked at tracks in Texas, Kentucky, Virginia, and Arizona over the past 10 years. Emily examines horses to determine racing soundness, monitors horses during racing, and takes samples for drug testing. As a lifelong equestrian, she competes in Hunter/Jumper shows and has retrained several OTTB’s. With 2 OTTB’s of her own, 31 year old Go Prince (PJ) and 10 year old Society Capo, she knows how resilient and talented Thoroughbreds are. She is excited to see all of the aftercare efforts and second careers for racehorses in a variety of disciplines. Emily sees herself as an advocate for the horse and loves working at the racetrack. Emily is lucky for the opportunity to compete in the Real Rider Cup on Rosie Napravnik’s horse, Old Ironsides, aka Sugar! Rosie is Emily’s hero as such an outstanding jockey on the track. Her infamous horse, Sugar, has been successful as a racehorse, pony horse, and event horse. Rosie Napravnik Off-Track Sporthorses rehabs and retrains retired Thoroughbreds. Rosie competes in Three Day Events and really shows how competitive Thoroughbreds can be at upper levels after leaving the track.
