Ferrin Peterson is a professional jockey competing on the Mid-Atlantic circuit, and a veterinarian. After completing her veterinary degree from UC Davis, she headed east to dedicate herself to her riding career. She enjoys following her race horses as they become broodmares or pick up a new athletic career. She will be riding the accomplished gelding All the Way Jose, who made just over $450,000 in his career. He is currently competing in pony club jumper shows and junior horse field master chases. He is in training for the Retired Racehorse Project's Thoroughbred Makeover and is owned by Dr. Erica Gaertner, who is a former steeplechase jockey and current sports medicine doctor. Peterson looks forward to showcasing his versatility to support the efforts of retraining and rehoming OTTBs.
