Jocelyn Brooks is Director of Bloodstock for Boardshorts Racing. Jocelyn has competed in the Real Rider cup representing both previous employers; Sagamore Farm and Airdrie Stud. Jocelyn & Perpetual Optimism have also competed in both Maryland and Kentucky events. As Chief of Staff for Sagamore Racing based at historic Sagamore Farm in Maryland, Jocelyn ran Sagamore Racing’s Next Move program. This program retrained retired Sagamore athletes for second careers such as dressage, hunters/jumpers, eventing and even therapy work. She is competing in the Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover this year for the first time with a Sagamore retiree named Maryland Pride. Her own Sagamore retiree, Perpetual Optimism is a three time veteran of The Real Rider Cup. When he isn't winning with the Farm Managers Team, or finishing a course cleanly without a bridle, he can be found competing in Eventing and being a very good boy!
