I’m Keira and I currently own two OTTBs, Arkenstone and Latitude, who were both owned and raced by my parents before they went into retraining. I live just a few minutes away from the Del Mar Racetrack where Arkenstone used to race. I’m 13 and I’ve been riding for pretty much all of my life, but have only started competing in the last five years. I show in the .80 and .90 jumpers with my horses. I’m going to be doing the course on Arkenstone, who I’ve had for about a year. We brought him down to San Diego from Los Angeles last June, but he coliced and had to have surgery in July. I helped with rehabilitating him all through last year and it taught me so much. I’m happy to ride for the Real Rider Cup, as growing up I was able to be around all of these truly special horses who deserve nice homes to retire to.
