I started riding horses at the age of 7 after begging my parents for lessons as a birthday present. I grew up riding Hunter jumper but because my dad was in the military I had the opportunity to ride at many different facilities with different trainers. When we moved to the Midwest I was introduced to eventing, and the champions of the sport the OTTB. I quickly fell in love with the breed and competed various horses in eventing through highschool and college, eventually producing my own OTTB through prelim. During this time I wanted to expand my knowledge of thoroughbreds before and while on the track. I worked at UKs Maine Chance farm learning the ins and outs of breeding and sales prep. From there i spent two years at juddmonte breaking babies, then went on to ride racehorses at Blackwood farm. I’ve worked for Robbie Medina for the past 4 years, moving from Blackwood to where we’re currently based at the thoroughbred training center. I continue training and competing OTTBs in my free time and really enjoy watching them blossom in new careers after the track.
