A graduate of Auburn University, Dr. Escaro originally joined the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute team as a surgery intern in 2019 until 2020. In January 2022, she rejoined the practice under the surgery department and now works as a performance horse vet. Working closely with new vocations, she helps in the transition of recently retired racehorses into their second homes and second careers. Acquiring her own off the track during her internship, Dr. Escaro spends most of her free time riding a once patient of hers - Monty. Finishing in the top 2 in over 50% of his races, Monty loved to run, but he enjoys eventing with his mom more.
