Bio

Current Job: Barn Manager

Hi everyone, my name is Allison and I have been riding over 20 years and mainly compete in evening and dressage but show in a little bit of everything. I got my first OTTB when I was 13 and completely fell in love with him and the breed as a whole. Since then I have never had anything but a Thoroughbred for my own horses. I currently own 4 OTTBs (Apollo, JC: Fumin Numin, 2001; Sadie, JC: Straighttotheheart, 2009; Maverick, JC: Diamond Bachelor, 2011; Maisy, JC: Soft N Lovely, 2017) of varying ages and racing accomplishments and truly believe they are the most versatile breed in the world. I shown them in everything from 3ft jumpers to western pleasure and ranch work. I am continuously in awe of the heart and willingness to please these horses have Over the past few years I have adopted two horses from New Vocations and competed at the Retired Racehorse Project's Thoroughbred Makeover in 2022. Through these two horses I have learned more about the racing industry, the people in it, and the aftercare efforts available to help these wonderful horses find new careers beyond racing. It has become a passion of mine to support these aftercare efforts in whatever way I can, including the Real Rider Cup!
