Kate is an International 4* Three Day Event rider based out of Georgetown, KY. She and her husband, Travis, own and operate Mulberry Creek Farm & Shamrock Eventing, where Kate runs her small boutique training operation. She has sourced, restarted, and competed numerous off-the-track Thoroughbreds for herself and for clients. Kate attended Georgetown College and graduated with honors in 2012, earning one degree in Psychology and another in Exercise Science. Prior to taking on her equestrian operation full time at Mulberry Creek Farm, she worked for the United State Equestrian Federation in number of managerial roles for close to 10 years. Kate and Travis own two Belgian Malinois dogs, Bindi and Belle, who keep a watchful eye over the farm. Kate's mount, SE Top Shelf, known as Blanton in the barn, is a 2015, 17.1 hand, bay gelding. Blanton's Jockey Club name is "Calipso Baby" and was owned and bred by Tom Durant. Blanton was sourced by Rosie Napravnik and purchased by Kate in November 2018. In 2019 Blanton participated in the Retired Racehorse Project's TB Makeover, finishing 10th out of 67 starters in Eventing and 11th out of 94 starters in the Show Jumping. Blanton has had numerous top finishes and TIP awards throughout his Eventing career, and he is currently competing at the 4* level in Eventing.
