Bio
Since her first pony rides at barely 3 years old, Kate’s been hooked on riding & horses. Born into a non-horsey family in NJ, Kate grew up as a “barn rat”, doing everything and everything she could to spend more time in the barn and saddle. After begging and pleading, her parents caved and Kieran, her first horse, started high school with her (and at now 24, he has been her rock since then). While many kids hit the show circuit, Kate focused on training & general horsemanship, focusing on the world of eventing. Fast forward, and Kate has since dabbled in Show Jumping, Driving, Dressage, and even worked as an exercise rider at the historic Saratoga Racetrack. Thoroughbreds quickly claimed a soft spot in Kate’s heart, and she has been involved with the NY chapter of New Vocations for over 10 years. Upon leaving the corporate world of equine retail brands, she now does much of the riding and all of the photography for the NY location, finding joy in seeing the horses go on to their next careers.
