Bio
Maia’s love for horses began as a therapeutic outlet after the loss of her father in 2005, and she has been in the saddle ever since. After years of leasing horses and riding every opportunity she could, she purchased her first Off-the-Track Thoroughbred at just 15 years old. Maia competed on her IHSA team throughout college and spent her breaks helping at the New Vocations New York facility, where she also completed a social media internship with NY New Vocations Head Trainer, Amanda Vance. After graduation, she continued her career in the equine industry in Westchester County before returning home to Saratoga Springs to work at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. Today, Maia remains a proud part of the North Country Horses and NY New Vocations team. She continues to help with riding, grooming, rehabilitation, and content creation whenever her schedule allows.
