I started riding when I was 8 on Long Island with Nancy Peter at Ketcham Pony Farm. This is where I nurtured my love of horses and learned horsemanship and how to teach. I moved out to California in 1986 and bought my very first horse a beautiful thoroughbred from my neighbor on Long Island and had her shipped to California. While in California I started teaching at a small farm in Huntington Beach. Due to the nature of my husband’s business we moved to Texas and had started a family. We ended up in Minnesota where we spent 19 years. All this time I stayed involved in horses in someway shape or form. When my kids were finally grown, we moved back out to the San Diego area. It is there that I got involved in Canter California as a volunteer. It is where I met Remme aka Prince Atlantis. He was a six year old thoroughbred being rehabbed for a non-displaced sesamoid injury we picked to each other. Two more moves later, and we have landed in Kentucky. It has been a long road for both of us, and within the last three years, we have really come into our own with the help of several great trainers. Remme is now 19 and I am now a grandma (Gigi) and we have been consistently showing in the 2’6 hunters. I have worked for Magna Wave for the past six years and I totally believe that using our machine has kept Remme at his best. I am very thankful to my company that they are sponsoring us for this event.
