Kim was born in Zimbabwe, where her father was a jockey and her grandfather trained at Borrowdale Park. She left Zimbabwe in 1988 to go work for Michael Stoute in Newmarket, which marked the beginning of stints in Australia, Dubai and the USA.
During this time she worked both as an assistant and exercise rider for Niall O’Callaghan, Dale Romans, Graham Motion, Michael Matz, Nick Zito and Team Valor. She currently works as an assistant farm/training manager for Sam-Son Farm in Ocala, Florida and will compete in their familiar red and gold silks. Kim is passionate about all horses but especially Thoroughbreds who have been an integral part of her family’s lives.
