Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Sergio DeSousa came to the USA in 1987. He worked at Margaux Stud for 18 months then traveled to France, Ireland, England, Italy and New Zealand working on various stud farms before returning to the USA.
Today, he is Manager/Partner of Hidden Brook farm in Paris, Kentucky.
Sergio always rode horses in his native Brazil and broke yearlings while in the USA and other countries, but only started showing horses a few years ago. He has been involved with the Retired Racehorse Project for a few years now with his daughter Isabela de Sousa (three-time winner of the Show jumping Division).
