#39 Bryn Schoenthal

I am super excited to be competing in the Real Rider Cup this year! I currently compete in Jr Field Master Chases and lower level eventing with my Thoroughbred, Zapata. I hot walk for my dad, Phil Schoenthal, at his barn in Fair Hill Training Center. Zapata loves to accompany the training sets out to the field, and we also get to help Keri Brion's green jumpers school over jumps by giving them a lead. I am also a C-1 pony clubber with Cheshire pony club and compete on an IEA team. My horse Zapata was bred and raced by longtime clients of my dad's, Cal MacWilliam & Neil Teitelbaum. Because he was such laid back dude, we always had him marked as a potential horse for me. When he was claimed, my dad stayed in touch with his new owner Mike Coombs of Super C Racing, and when Mr. Coombs decided to retire Zapata sound after several races, he gave him back to us, and he has been our stable pony, pony club compatriot, eventer, field master chase racer, and trail rider ever since. I will be competing in the HnR Nothhaft Horse Racing LLC silks of Hank Nothhaft. Mr. Nothhaft is generously sponsoring us this year and is a great benefactor of Thoroughbred Aftercare. Mr. Nothhaft is the marquis standard of responsible racehorse ownership, always doing what's best for his horses, retiring them sound, and doing whatever is necessary to ensure they have positive successful second careers.
