Horses have been my passion since I was a kid. Growing up in New Jersey I did anything and everything I could to get saddle time and worked to purchase my first horse in high school. I competed as much as I could on my limited budget, and tried to learn as much as I could, everywhere I could, including my internship in college at KESMARC. Now I am fortunate enough to have it all come together for me. I have broke thoroughbreds to ride and gave them 30 days as two year olds before they went to the track. I’ve seen them train and race. I’ve worked in the spit box. I’ve worked on the backside of Churchill Downs as a veterinary technician. I’ve rehabbed them. But the coolest thing about this breed is their versatility. It has been such an awesome experience to bring along a young thoroughbred and teach them a new job. Rosie Napravnik-Sharp has provided expert guidance throughout this process, and I am absolutely thrilled to be able to support the rehoming and retraining of Off Track Thoroughbreds! I will be competing on the heartthrob, Bruce (Twenty Twice), owned by Rosie Napravnik-Sharp, but loved by all. I might be in the US Air Force, but together, Bruce and I can really fly!
